| Tiivistelmä: | The diversity and problems of departmentalization in an organization have been shown from logistic viewpoint. Findings of organizational theory are illuminated,emphasizing in particular the contingency approach. It is aimed to define selected contingency factors,to look at the strategy of an organization and to bring these components together with the specific requirements of logistical tasks in mind. The effects the contingency factors have on the decision-making process,the structural dimensions and objectives are examined, but due to their diversity only general conclusions are possible to draw. |
