Tiivistelmä:Company decisions in buying goods or services are generally based on a lot of personal and objective attributes of the supplier (qualitative, functional, economic etc.). The foundation of the concept linking R+D and the marketplace is rooted in attitude/behavior theory. A regression model with seven different attributes is described as a support in decision-making. It is apt to forecast return on development, it gives much help in determining business strategy as well as in resource allocation. An example illustrates the possibilities. In case of incomplete information delphi estimates are offered. Alternative sources of data, theoretical background, the role of managerial judgement are considered as necessary supplements to any good founded decision process.
