Tiivistelmä:Technological, economic and market forces are causing organizations to make radical changes in both their strategy and human resource management (HRM). A model of strategic HRM is developed and implemented to the computer supplier sector. In a study interviews were conducted with a sample of 11 human resource directors of computer supplier firms and three industry experts. It was stated that in response to strategic change firms were pursuing four streams of HRM activity: the management of culture; the development of skills; productivity improvements by the integration of roles, tasks, and skills; and improving the quality of managerial processes and customer service.
