| Tiivistelmä: | The paper sets up and evaluates empirically for West Germany operating procedures for short-run money control. They are constructed in such a way as to use current information available to the central bank. Broad monetary aggregates prove to be better controllable in Germany than narrow ones and monetary base is a better operating target than the presently used short-run interbank rate. |
