Tiivistelmä:People seem to develop preferences for popular musical styles during late adolescence or early adulthood, and these preferences tend to prevail for the rest of their lives. Popular music is examined because it affords conspicuous example of esthetic consumption linked to the hedonistic aspects of human experience. Musical preferences might reflect some consumers' periods of peak involvement with various social causes, political parties or current events.
