| Tiivistelmä: | The present technological and economic state of global system quantitatively differs from that predicted by the Club of Rome. This observation supports the idea that the global system tends to maximize the positive effects and minimize the negative ones of its development. The most important criterion of this process of optimization is the development and use of the intellectual potential power of mankind. The author attempts to define the qualitative content of this criterion in the post-1984 global scenario. First he presents a theoretical concept of IPP and discusses a methodological approach to future research, then describes some results obtained by using this approach. |
