| Tiivistelmä: | The various chapters of the Handbook contain detailed introductions to entire literatures. An especially valuable aspect of this collection is that most authors give balanced appraisals, and highlight shortcomings of the literature on their topic. Equilibrium models employing the tools of noncooperative game theory are now pervasive in industrial organization. It is indicated that theory could usefully be further adapted, to accounting for existing evidence from industry case studies, interindustry field data, and laboratory experiments. |
