Tiivistelmä:Managers' salaries are a vital factor affecting both the quality of management and corporate results, as these depend largely upon the engagement and activities of the managers involved. Managers need material incentives and their entrepreneurial talents will only emerge if they are given both the scope they require for action and the stimulus of high incomes. If an enterprise does not link income the success, its best managers will move on to greener pastures. What are the principal features of a good system of payments and how must it be structured? The system presented by the author is more equitable in the lower ranks of the hierarchy and more result-oriented in the upper levels.
