| Tiivistelmä: | In 1998 the social economy still failed to enter a new active period. On the whole the social economic situation remained steady but serious problems still existed in some fields and sectors. The public support and feelings of satisfaction became increasingly important in the maintenance of social stability. Various kinds of social relations, pattern of social elements composition and social operational criterion changed, showing a certain kind of phasic characteristic in the course of social transformation. In 1999 the government should give priority to the maintenance of political stability. The problems of farmers, agriculture and rural areas deserve a more central place. Straggle against corruption will become grimmer. Laid-off workers are still a serious social problem. |
