| Tiivistelmä: | The authors of the article state that the flexibility of working conditions is one of the main objectives of current human resource activities. The paper also states that in the past obstacles towards a greater flexibility were identified in the area of labor law regulations, especially collective agreements. The agreement "5000 x 5000" represents a new kind of collective agreement, which allows more flexibilization of working conditions according to the special needs of Volkswagen's new mode of production.
