Tiivistelmä:Germany (here as: G.) has evolved as the single largest investor from Europe in China (as: C). However, C. accounts for only 1.2 percent of German (as: G-n) FDI outflows, making G. the 6th largest investor in C. The main reasons for G-n firms investing in C. seem to be its large market potential, low labour costs, improved infrastructure and natural resources. Liberal policies of trade and investment in free trade zones, reductions in tariff/non-tariff barriers and effective financial policies further enhanced the prospects for G-n FDI in C.
