| Tiivistelmä: | Using several models, including the original Lucas (1987) endowment economy, the authors compute the welfare cost of agregate fluctuations for a large sample of developing countries. They then contrast these costs with estimates obtained from the same models using U.S. Data. For each country, they calibrate the models using local-currency figures from the World Bank or extant studies, and carry out robustness checks. |
