| Tiivistelmä: | Since the 1980s a new leadership-approach is discussed in the USA. The main concept of this approach is transformational and charismatic leadership or management. The article provides an overview of the most important issues of this new trend of management research. The basis of the new theory is described in context of the history of science, and the content , the methodology and the paradigms of the works of the new management researchers are compared. Finally, the possible reasons of the poor reception of this new theory in the German speaking world are considered. |
