Tiivistelmä:The concept of global integration is explained. Top management tasks in attainment of global integration are identified. Total globalization and the traditional multi-domestic strategies tailored to individual markets are compared. The advantages of global integration of business strategies are highlighted. Suggestions are made to help selecting strategies for integration. Four generic integration strategies are described for choice. The problem of how far should integration be pursued is discussed. Some important steps in implementing global integration are reviewed: the creation of new strategy centers, finding a new role for local management, the alteration of the role of head-office etc.
