| Tiivistelmä: | 729 scientists and engineers working in the R and D departments of 11 large companies were questioned in a study of work-oriented value-judgements of industrial researchers. Two dimensions were identified: 1. managerial tasks; 2. scientific-professional tasks. By combining these dimensions four types of value-judgements were determined: 1. managerial; 2. characteristic to researchers; 3. integrated; 4. disinterested. The theoretical framework of the study is explained. The empirical results are discussed in the light of their implications for personnel policy. Conclusions are drawn concerning the R and D management too. |
