| Tiivistelmä: | The background of excellence of successful companies is examined. The most important theoretical and empirical research findings published in the management literature are reviewed. A recent study carried out on this topic by the researchers of Zurich University is reported. The methodological aspects of the study of success factors are discussed in detail. A model has been developed for diagnostic purposes. A lot of indicators and groups of indicators have been determined. The methods of data gathering are overviewed. The diagnostic instruments are listed. The procedure of the sample selection as well as the inquiry on the whole is described. |
