Tiivistelmä: | Switzerland's national and corporate culture is characterized on the basis of a research conducted by a team of scholars from different scientific institutions. The following cultural characteristics are described and analyzed: 1. pragmatism and materialism; 2. carefulness and conservativism; 3. individualism and egalitarianism. Arguments are provided that the development of corporate culture is not a spontaneous process and it is not a mirror image of the history of the national culture. Company management has the responsibility for making conscious efforts to develop and nurture organizational culture. The research methodology is outlined. (300 people were interviewed from 30 companies of the most important industries.) |
