Tiivistelmä: | Business relationships form the basis of a firm's success, it is therefore worth taking the time to build and nurture them. The author states that the internet age has, in many ways, encouraged us all to become a little more isolated from the rest of the world. Thanks to the new forms of electronic communication, it is possible, in theory at least, to run a successful business without ever meeting your clients, suppliers, advisers or even the milkman. It is difficult to imagine the accountancy profession - so dependent, apparently, on personal contact - getting to that stage. But in some respects we are already moving in that direction. The author answers the following questions: if the one needs to get in touch with a client, should he pick up the phone or tap out an email and which way, would be better for business. |
