| Tiivistelmä: | The author estimates a cost function for the Swedish paper industry. If the cost shares are c-integrated , an error correction model will be used to dodel the dynamics. Short- and long-run elasticities are then calculated to address the relationship between waste paper and the other inputs: capital, labour, purchased pulp, fiber, fossil fuels and electricity. Contrary to the life-cycle assessment studies, the results show that waste paper and fossil fuels are substututes, and the waste paper and elecricity are complements. |
