Tiivistelmä:The purpose of this article is to discuss the contradiction between academic argument that conflicts should be resolved in group discussions and the current practice that many managers avoid such a discussions.The authors suggest managers with weak conflict management skills to avoid group discussions in conflict situations.In contrast managers with high levels of conflict management skill benefit by using group discussions.The shortage of management skills indicates a need for skill training in conflict handling.
