| Tiivistelmä: | A study of four computer companies which had filed for bankruptcy indicates that bankruptcy can spoil the intertwined images of organizations and their top managements. The research relied primarily on initial observations, semistructured interviews, records data and observation of creditors' committee meetings. The analysis reveals how the stigma process unfolded in bankrupt firms, through spoiled relationships between the firms and their organizational audiences. Several management strategies are proposed such as concealing, defining, denying or accepting of responsibility and withdrawing. |
