| Tiivistelmä: | It has been nearly a decade since Business and Society Review Senior Editor Milton Moskowitz and Robert Levering, the Bay Area business journalist wrote The 100 Best Companies to Work For in America. Now, the authors have revisited corporate America and completely revised their 1984 book. "We found that even as the American workplace has become traumatized by layoffs, job burnout, and shifting of more health insurance costs to the employee, the very best workplaces have become better," the authors write. To identify the best workplaces, Moskowitz and Levering looked at more than 400 companies, focusing on six criteria: pay and benefits, opportunities for advancement, job security, pride in work and the company, the degree of openness and fairness, and the level of camaraderie among employees. |
