| Tiivistelmä: | This paper considers tourism development on the island of Rügen in former East Germany during the countrys post-socialist transition to capitalism and representative democracy. The study focused on the relations among actors and structures and their dynamic characters in tourism policy over 10-year period. Relational approach was used to review tourism related networks and to understand traditional pathways in post-socialist context. |
