Tiivistelmä:This article deals with the trend of corporate scandals. There is an intriguing question rising: How do resourceful organizations end up with crass 'impostors' as leaders in the first place? The answer maybe lies in the misplaced emphasis on certain qualities associated with leadership. True leadership requires a balance among three elemental pre-requisites: Energy, Expertise and Integrity. Once synchronized, they unleash the latent potential in any organization. Integrity ensures that an organization is run in the right direction. Leaders should not get selected on the basis of the superficial qualities, but they must pass the acid test of Integrity. The article suggests a 'decision tree' and a 'checklist' to help in the selection process.
