| Tiivistelmä: | To better protect the results of innovation two new Belgian laws have come into force on the 1st of January, 1987. The Law on patents, replacing the old law of 1854, concentrates on a more comprehensive and profound protection of patents' owners in harmony with the prescriptions of the Munich Convention, the Patent Cooperation Treaty and the project of the EEC's, Patent Agreement. The uniform law of Benelux states on production marks, broadens the field of jurisdiction on service marks,that had not been included into previous laws. A summary of the new legislative acts are given with statistical data concerning patents, trade marks and protected models in some of European countries. |
