Tiivistelmä: | More and more Japanese companies employ British managers to run their UK subsidiaries. 10 years ago there were considerable differences in management style separating the Japanese and the British. But the Japanese have become more international, and the UK has picked up on these things, resulting in a blend of styles. Companies in Japan are managed in a different way than in the UK. There is less demand for dividends, and cash flow out to shareholders. Instead there is long-term thinking on product and market development. It is important to negotiate the differences in business practice between the UK and Japan for Japanese companies operating in Europe. |
