| Tiivistelmä: | In general the production potentials and maintenance capaci- ties are planned independently of each other. Interrelations between these planning objects are neglected both in lite- ture and in praxis. An asynchronous automatic assembly sy- stem is used to illustrate these interdependencies. The paper presents an analytical approach which especially takes into account the dependency between the production and the maintenance system. The suggested model and solution approach is particularly helpful in the initial design phase as well as during a redesign process to evaluate alternative configurations. |
