Tiivistelmä:The benefits of adopting a tentative and integrated marketing education approach on a first year under graduate programme are explored in the article by developing a simulation. It is shown that by embedding the simulation in the learning process and encouraging students to consider various assessment activities has made it possible for them to understand better the skills and knowledge which are needed when opening a new retail outlet. The Chartered Institute of Marketing has outlined the know-how expected of new marketers and this was used when designing the learning activities in the article. It demonstrated that blended approach has enriched the experiences of students and helped the teachers to achieve all of the ‘asset requirements’ of the CIM.
