| Tiivistelmä: | This article examines the ways in which the construct exploitation and exploration are applied at the level of the corporate strategy of the firm. Agent-based simulations are developed for describing the evolution of firms led by exploitative and explorative corporate strategies in business environments of various complexity levels. The findings of the analysis indicate that the performances of exploitative strategies and strategies that combine exploitation and exploration depend on the operating environment of the firm as well as the strategic plans of the corporate level. |
