| Tiivistelmä: | In the 1980s many countries paid for imports using countertrade because of limited foreign exchange reserves. However, recently the same nations have been implementing reform programmes. These involve floating of currencies and increased use of monetized transactions. A prognosis of what this means for countertrade is given for international executives and also a model to execute countertrade deals is suggested. |
