| Tiivistelmä: | The purpose of this study is to estimate the level of inefficiency of the fishcage farmers of Sampaloc Lake using a stochastic frontier analytical framework, and in turn determine the factors affecting the fishcage farmers' inefficiency. So far this is the first attempt to address the above issues from a more rigorous econometric point of view. Background information is presented and concluding remarks with special reference to policy recommendations on technology adoption are given. |
