| Tiivistelmä: | This paper focuses on the effect of the technological transformations that underlie Simon Kuznets's stylized, inverted U curve for the West and for a similar curve that the author worked out for Asia. This paper is an attempt to look into these issues by exploring the impact of technological change on income distribution, first in the West and then in Asia. The discussion is on trends and not on levels. Asian levels tend to be higher than in the West. |
