| Tiivistelmä: | Based on research on the industrial structure, the author describes the evolution of the methodology and content of economic studies in China. From the beginning of the 1950s to the end of the 1970s, research on the industrial structure was confined to the relationships between the "two major sectors," and that between agriculture and the light and heavy industrial sectors from the perspective of traditional socialist theory.New western economic concepts and methodologies were introduced into China in the early 1980, and had become established by the early 1990s. The author analyses the gains, losses, progress and the inevitability of changing pardigms in Chinese theoretical studies. |
