| Tiivistelmä: | The article aims to study whether the location of a firm's headquarters influences its broad based option plans. The data for the study is collected from the Execucomp database covering the usage of broad based option plans of companies in the database during 1992-2004. The results suggest that the location does explain variation in broad based option grants. This is due to the effect of local labor market conditions and interaction with local firms. The article also explains the situations where the option grants are characteristically higher. |
