| Tiivistelmä: | The current market development in the IT Services Industry poses significant challenges to market participants. The declining demand for IT services fol lowing the rapid growth of the past years is resulting in lower revenues and a drop in orders. A weak 2001, combined with a disappointing development of the promising E-Business sector and the modest determination of current budgets, has pushed the IT Services Industry to search for new solutions. Drivers of the shift are not the macroeconomic volatility or the nth of September. At the moment the IT Service Industry is attempting to adapt its business logic. The market development has ultimately led to new strategic orientations while future themes of market positioning determine the priorities of IT Service providers. |
