Tiivistelmä:Advertising business has suffered recently more than most of the service industries. One company, however, Aegis appears to be surviving. Three major advertising agencies have gone bust, and the former undisputed leader Saatchi and Saatchi, has gone down. Aegis, formerly the Wight Collins Rutherford Scott /WCRS/ agency was on top of the world bucking the industry trend and about to post profit up to 58 p.c. to GBP 35 million. Scott, the "S" of WCRS, was convinced that the firm will survive. Unlike rivals, he turned his attention to Europe and media buying rather than costly acquisition for the solution. Its subsidiary, the Carat controls 9 p.c. of media in Europe, and is number 1 in all countries apart from the UK.
