| Tiivistelmä: | Since the 1990s, the transit trade between Hongkong and the inland has entered a period of low-speed growth as shown in the increase in transshipment trade, decline of ordinary trade exports via Hongkong, and the weakened driving-force of processing trade. The growth of trade between these two areas can be renewed so long as we take feasible measures face up to and solve new problems. Although it is difficult to regain the high-speed growth of the 1980s in the transit trade, Hongkong's transit role is irreplaceable. |
