Tiivistelmä:This paper focuses attention upon candidate communications strategies. It explores the possibility that spoken attributions of candidates during selection interviews act as clues for interviewers, seeking to predict candidates' performance in future work situations. Two predictions were tested. First, that candidates prouduce spoken attributions frequently during the selection interview when explaining previous behaviour. Second, that candidates rated as 'more successful' by interviewers produce different causal attributions than those rated as 'less successful'.
