| Tiivistelmä: | In the first part of this paper world economy is considered. In the second part the authors consider Western Europe - Euro area and other Western Europe. The third part is about United States current account deficit, saving-investment balances and capital mobility. Current account developments and financial account developments are analyzed. Then the authors consider factor incomes and labor market performance, presenting econometric model. Then there is the consideration of inflation differentials, nominal and real interest rate differentials and economic implications in the euro area. In the last part the authors consider Ireland - regional economic adjustment in a monetary union. |
