| Tiivistelmä: | The development of simple heuristic methods for fast routeing of simultaneous signals in a transmission network of limited capacity is described. It is shown how the problems may be structured into a four-level hierarchy of subproblems, and approaches for solving these subproblems are considered. At the lowest level a method is introduced for plotting a route between two nodes based on information derived from a multidimensional scaling projection of the network. It is indicated how some of these approaches were developed into an implementable solution to the problem. |
