| Tiivistelmä: | According to the forecast of China's economic development before and after 2000, China's economy will continue to grow rapidly and its status in the world economy will be heightened obviously. The years from 1996 to 2010 are the years when China's economic structure will be changed greatly. The rate of investment will remain high and its scale will be expanded further. A pattern of uneven regional economic growth will be presented. While the residents' income level rises, the gap in income will widen to some extent. The constraint of population, resources and environment to economic growth will become increasingly serious. China's opening to the outside world will continue to be expanded. |
