| Tiivistelmä: | Asia's hard-charging so called Tiger Economies are going through their worst times in years. Some of their problems are cyclical whereas many are deep-seated. Companies have to be agile to survive in an uncertain future. For years, expansion has come easily. With the won cheap and labour cheaper, big exporters like Samsung were tough to be beaten by other companies. These days, the Korean economy is in the dumps, and its big players like Samsung are struggling. Wages and other costs of production are soaring and economic efficiency is down. |
