| Tiivistelmä: | According to a sample survey of 300 urban families in Nanjing's city proper in 1994 and 1995, 3 main categories, recreation-education-culture, housing and medical treatment and health care fall into ones with the largest increase range. In the consumption composition, food, clothing and recreation-education-culture rank first, second and third. Viewed from the overall development trends, the proportion of food consumption in the total consumption presents a downward trend. But its structure and level has been improved and raised. The possession of durable consumer goods has been increased with color TVs and refrigerators in saturation. The housing condition has been further improved. By the end of 1995, 95% of the families used gas piping or liquefied petroleum gas and the universal rate of telephones rose to 61.3% in 1994 from 49% in 1994. |
