| Tiivistelmä: | The whole country's GDP growth rate stands at 10% or below in 1996 and will rise slightly to 10-11% in 1997. The actual growth rate of retail sales of social consumer goods will rise to 15% in 1997 from 14% in 1996. The actual growth rate of investment in fixed assets will rise to 15% too in 1997 from 12% in 1996. With the export of foreign trade rising again in the second half of the year, its growth rate will reach 4% in 1996, and will rise greatly and reach 10% in 1997. The retail price index will possibly be controlled at 9% or below but will likely rise to 10% in 1997. |
