| Tiivistelmä: | In 1997, the moderately tight monetary policy will be practised continuously. Money supply will basically be level with last year's and there will be a wide gap in terms of fund demand. As a result, money market will present many new features. The scale of inter-bank loan will enlarge greatly with more rational inter-bank rate and its structure will present new features. The business of honouring and discounting commercial bills will make great progress. The commercial bill will become one of the instruments of settlement, which are most welcome. The short-term national debt market will change the issuing method, adjust structure, enlarge scale, increase varieties and offer a variety of terms and change issuing frequency as well. |
