| Tiivistelmä: | In 1996, the expected target of China's macro economic regulation and control was reached and the operational situation of the national economy was also good. China kept a rapid economic growth (up 9.7% over last year) and increased the effective supply. Inflation was brought under control with the rise rate of retail prices controlled at 6.1%. The growth of investment and demand was generally moderate. The total supply and demand tended balanced. The financial and monetary situation was basically stable and macro environment was improved further. The year of 1997 will be the starting point of the new round of growth fluctuation. But the over heated growth will not appear again. Instead, there will be the growth within stability and stress will be put on the improvement of economic quality and the growth of economic returns. |
