Tiivistelmä: | In the services sector it is fairly easy to achieve competitive advantages by price discrimination. An example of "call-by-call"-tariffs from the telephone sector serves to analyze different ways of incorporating quantity-dependent prices. In order to allow a comparison of different tariffs, an optimization model based upon consumer's demand is formulated. Using this model, both consumers and providers can analyze tariffs. Exemplary computations show that quantity-dependent prices are suitable for trying consumers to providers. |
