| Tiivistelmä: | The investment in fixed assets in 1997 was characterized by the following: narrower increase margin of investment in technological transformation, the almost same investment in capital construction as that last year, strengthened adjustment of structure of investment in fixed assets, improved investment structure, uneven regional investment development presenting high level in the west and low level in the central area, more new projects and the projects of technological transformation, which tend to be small-sized. In 1998, as China continues to adopt the moderately tight macro policy, the investment in fixed assets will keep a stable and moderately rapid growth to adapt to the situation. The total investment will reach 3064.2 billion yuan, up 17% or so over 1997. |
