Tiivistelmä: | In recent years management scholars have developed a dazzling array of matrices and models intended to answer the often difficult questions raised by international management. The Pacific Basin must be a key focal point in any discussion of the evolving world economy. The cultural diversity of the Pacific Rim countries presents major obstacles that must be overcome before the economic sphere can be solidified through investment and technology transfer. Honda's overseas strategy is described and analyzed. It consists of four target concepts: localization of products, profit, production and management. After discussing each of them it is shown how this corporate philosophy works in the context of three management policies. |
