| Tiivistelmä: | For years the field of material supply has escaped the attention of business management training and industrial managements. Since the 1980s an opposite trend can be observed. The number of firms is increasing,which consider this branch as good source of rationalization. Thanks to the integration of logistics into material supply this field became more than a simple supplement of production and sales. Currently material supplies form a subsystem within the company. Main goals of their development are flexibility and supply capacity. To meet the new requirements there are some preconditions to be accomplished. |
